Director's Letter September 19, 2025
Hello ACA Community,
There have been many highlights this week, as there are every week at ACA! The weather has been exceptional and the yard has been full of fun competitions from Ga-Ga Ball, to Four Square, to Volleyball bumping challenges. About 150 meals are being served each day by our friendly staff and for the most part, students are giving the entrees positive reviews. We hosted a walkthrough of the campus with Oregon City’s new Director of Operations, Trinity Gibbons, and she got to see what an exceptionally cool school we have. Showing off ACA never gets old!
ACA Picture Days
Once again, the wonderful Stephanie Young will be capturing our student and staff photos this year. Plan to bring your smiles to school on October 7th or 8th! No purchase is required. Photos will be used for the ACA yearbook. Stephanie will need a few parent helpers so if you are available for a shift, please let us know HERE.
Coffee with the Directors
Monday, September 29 is National Coffee Day. Meg and I invite parents and interested adults to join us for coffee, pastries, and conversation on all things ACA from 9:00-10:00. Mark your calendars and RSVP HERE to let us know if you are able to attend!
Gentle Rule Reminder
A reminder that behavior support at ACA looks a little different than at other schools. Our stated mission is parent involvement at all levels. Please review the attached matrix to understand our standard approach to behaviors: Tier I (student conversation), Tier II (parent meeting), and Tier III (parent required to be on campus).
