Director's Letter October 3, 2025
Hello ACA!
Here we are, turning the page on the calendar to October already! Our students, parents and staff are finding their ‘stride’ and settling in. We’re getting to know each other and finding ways to plug in to the ACA community. Clubs will begin meeting next week, lots of events are on the calendar, and great student music is floating into the halls. We’re excited to see the vibrant energy of our community continue to grow as we dive into this new month!
Picture Days!
Our very talented friend and ACA parent, Stephanie Young, will be taking school photos on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00am - 2:00pm. We hope everyone, staff and students, will stop by for a photo for our Yearbook! Of course, photos will be available for purchase as well. We need volunteers to assist Stephanie please! Student Representative to the Board
The ACA Board is looking for student representatives to join our monthly board meetings. Students will have the opportunity to share summaries of events on campus and to learn how the ACA Board works. High school students grade 10-12 are welcome to apply HERE!
Volunteer Spotlight
Kate Hansen is our creative, dedicated PTO President. She volunteers her time freely to plan and execute school wide fundraisers and fun, community building events. Kate, along with her team of PTO officers and volunteers, plans dine-out fundraisers and all-school gatherings, manages the Food Corner, surprises us with ‘National’ day treats, and is a kind and welcoming presence at ACA. Thank you, Kate, for being Amazing!
Volunteer Opportunity
Looking for a volunteer who is willing to take our custodial rags home to wash every other week. It’s just two loads! I would really appreciate someone taking this over! Let me know at shellysmith@aca.k12.or.us

Please drive very slowly and cautiously in our drop off/pick up area and parking lot. There have been some heart stopping moments lately! If your student’s driver does not receive this letter, pass the word.

10/6 - 10/27 The first ever ACA Boo-Grams go on sale! Similar to candy grams, stop by the PTO desk and purchase a Boo-Gram for your friend, student, or child. Starting at $2 each, to support the PTO. Boo-grams will be delivered the week before Halloween.
